Looks like they are giving us hexes this time too. Sounds like it could be even more in depth than ever. I keep reading that the battles are going to be more in depth. I hope that option can be disabled, because I always thought the simplicity of the battles were one thing that helped to keep the smoothness of the game.

No more giant unit stacks. One unit per hex only. So very glad for that change; no more building up massive, massive armies.

i think i created one (civ 5 topic) back when it was first announced ...
but yeah, this crack will eat me alive. sid meier is like the houdini of crack .. or something .. i even want to play the civilization facebook game theyre creating ...

I'm still trying to work out what benefit hex has over squares for this game...
Also, the screenies look too clean somehow... It doesn't look like civ to me.
