Conquered the world, albeit on Chieftain mode. Trying it on the next level up on a dual map. Quite a bit harder actually!

Loving the game, although it is almost like a totally different game strategically.

I just did a culture victory on a dual map with quick mode and settler (yes, settler) and it took me around 10 hours I think. Pretty crazy time investment when I set it to the quickest possible settings!

All in all it is fun, but I still prefer Civ IV I think. According to Steam I have played the game for 57 hours now, although sometimes I have played offline not logged in to steam, so not sure if it records those.

No, I love the army style in a Civ V. There are aspect of Civ V which I like, and some which I don't... On a toss up I am going more towards Civ IV at the moment though. If they can make all the patches and improvements that have been listed all over some forums, then it will make for a more enjoyable experience. I just hope they don't add the features that should have been there from the start in some expansion pack and charge for it... Even though I'd probably buy it Tongue
