Aye aye, the Jew Hunter (never heard of the actor before, his name is Christoph Waltz) is a brilliant character! No matter how evil his character is, I just loved him all the way through. I think that I like the movie just because of him to be honest. Without him, it wouldn't be nearly the same. Brilliant!
i also think very few people besides tarantino could make this kind of movie exciting ... where even the polite, quiet talk between two men over a glass of milk can be so incredibly intense and dramatic ... so it's not just the actors.

Of course not just the actors. He writes amazing scripts and finds perfect actors for those scenes. That first scene in the movie is epic, for real!
Last night I watched District 9. In short - best movie I've seen so far in this 4-day marathon!

Magnolia is depressing. But that's its charm I guess.
Is Crowe not fit to play Robin Hood? That's the next movie I'm going to theaters for.

at first, i was like ... huh? but after seeing the latest trailer ... i'm optimistic that it could really be a great movie, and not just a sad damp rolling hills horse n swords movie

I haven't been convinced by the trailer, I doubt it's going to be all that historically accurrate and being from England I expect it's going to be a MASSIVE cringe-fest when our culture and accents are bastardised again. But saying all that I'd still like to see it.

You do know Ridley Scott is behind it? I doubt it's going to be another Gladiator, but it's entertaining then why not.
Did Robin Hood even exist? There are so many versions of his story. There's also an anime too, and everyone gets in the nude by the end. What's up with the translucent bubbles in the japanese fiction afterlife?

Might I suggest a few movies? Up, Sherlock Holmes, Zombieland, The Hangover, The Hurt Locker ... and stuff ...

I watched Up! before and loved it! Also watched The hangover and was pleasantly surprised by the humor in it. I expected a standard trash comedy but I loved it for real! And yea, please suggest me other titles, I am always up for a good movie. Speaking of it, I watched Sherlock Holmes last night (didn't read your suggestion before ). Nice! Even though Sherlock is a martial arts expert, a boxer and god-knows-what-else, he is still the good old Sherlock Holmes! I loved the atmosphere, I loved the action parts, Robert shows once again that he is an awesome actor etc etc etc. And ofc, Rachel McAdams is there, which is another bonus Good movie! 8/10

Last night was time for Avatar. Been postponing it because it takes almost 3 hours, needed a perfect timing *** SPOILERS *** So, Avatar is a fairy tale. My kind of fairy tale. Ewoks, erm, Na'vi, fighting the Empir... humans for their own freedom. Good guys vs bad guys, with a lot of explosions, Cameron's big combat robots from Aliens (only armed this time) and Sigourney Weaver dying at the end. It's a good movie, I really liked it but I think it was possible to shorten the 90 minute intro. Anyway 7/10 for the Avatar's epic tale with a happy ending
