I swear I made a topic concerning this game but it's nowhere to be found!

Anyway, this game is awesome! Grab it while you still can.

I don't agree. It sucks, is repetitive and is quite badly optimised.

i disagree with your disagreement. I have learned to avoid PC games that have console equivalents and just go for the console version itself. The game is like an entertaining interactive movie that's almost as potentially good as the planned sequel that never saw the light of day.

The game performed adequately in terms of sales but the movie's sequel is still in doubt.

i have to agree with the disagreeing of the disagreement

played the xbox 360 version, it was quite a fun game, doing "real ghostbustery jobs" with a few spooky, creepy moments, and going totally overboard with some stuff like in the movies. but the best part is, all the chit chat and the dialogue. those were awesome! totally defined the ghostbusters game, really made you want to play the game to listen to more of their banter Cheesy

btw, the slimeshot was super great for the trappable ghosts. just pop out the trap, shoot one end of the slime on the trap, then shoot the ghost. sweeet!

and man .. that guy in the review sounds totally sane ... vastly different from how his usual reviews are ;P

I really, really, really wanted to like the game. And sometimes I did. As a whole though, it wasn't what it could have been. And Bill Murry just sounded...eh. Not particularly interested.

If you liked Ghostbusters though, it's definitely worth checking out. For a Ghostbuster fan it's a decent to great game, if only because it has the original cast and tons of references to the movies.

Maybe I'll give it another shot when I upgrade to a better graphic card. I feel that Crysis Warhead ran better at some points than G.Busters even though the game hasn't brought any stunning graphics. I remember in that part of the game (pretty much on the beginning) when you were in museum catacombs of some kind and this flood started with a lot of fog - it was like a slide show, bellow 30 fps, on my GF 8800 GT, a card that still performs quite good on most of the recent games! G.B. is simply badly optimized and I believe I even read about some frame-rate issues on PS3 version too.

Yes the PS3 version got some flak for being unequal to its 360 sibling. Whilst it is excusable for developers to slack a bit when it comes to porting from one console to another, poor performance on PC is something of a major fiasco.. But at this point I'm beyond caring I just want the most playable version.

It seems Atari hasn't bothered to patch the PC version.. Searching their website the game isn't even listed! If you really like the Ghostbusters you can try putting up with the poor performance, otherwise don't bother.

But watching that video clip - there seems to be frame rate issues on XB360 version too.

I don't know.. It's smooth enough. As long as the frame rate doesn't dip to single digits I'm fine with it. Haha

I never had an issue when I was playing it on PS3.

I was an ok game. But the formula was too forced, coupled with monotone voice acting ... I could not commit to it.

Bill Murray keeps getting quoted as either in favor of Ghostbusters 3, as not really interested in it or as generally horrified at the mere idea. It's really friggin' annoying.

Finished the game last night. The second half wasn't as entertaining as the first, but overall it was a decent 'indirect' sequel to the movies.

Still no updates on the 3rd movie, afaict.

It won't happen. I've come to accept it now.
