The first SC game I played, and I thought it was pretty fun Smiley as some reviewers said, instead of being forced to be sneaky in the shadows like a rat or some other vermin, you were more like a jaguar with a huge, fierce bite should you be found.

the singleplayer isn't overly long, quite a nice length actually, and it should be noted that it's like, half the game. if you play this, don't miss out on the completely separate coop campaign which can be played in split screen as well. that's actually where most of the challenges are, some parts were really hard, although it certainly helped that you can revive your partner.

Loved it. I've only played the sp so far, but it was great.

I've finished all the games in the series, and this is by far the funnest.

Five hours isn't overly long... Indeed. If you pay $60 for the main campaign that's like $12 per hour. Of course if you factor in the other modes it might prove better value.

yeah i'd definitely say singleplayer is only half the game in this case, since the coop is easily 5 hours more. this is also easily recommended because it can be played in splitscreen! doesn't require coop through xbox live, which helps me out a ton.

I don't know about you two but I found this game to be extremely linear, dumbed-down and needlessly brutal. It's like 90s 'extremism' all over again. Definitely going to return to where it came from. 6/10

How can you give that damning review and then give it 6/10? To me, 6/10 means it is above average...

anything less than an 8/10 score for a game is pretty much below average ... at least for AAA titles ... maha ;P

Well that is where scoring is wrong then...

It's like at uni, I got told that they never mark anything over 90%, and rarely even over 80%.

So surely that means that 90% is 100% and the whole fucking goalposts move?

Same as this scoring. 5/10 = middle
10/10 = exceptional
1/10 = dismal

And then a scale inbetween.

Not 8/10 is average and 5/10 is poor. WTF.
