When you are cold your nerves freeze and you lose feeling in those spots. When its hot... they don't... queue in agony. Trust me cold is the way to go.

I agree, I'd want to die from cold, hypothermia is quite fun before you pass out. I believe you go through a euphoric stage before you pass out, I doubt you get that from heat.
