Started playing full-fledged Portal a couple of days ago. It's excellent but the gaming world could have been polished a bit more to separate it from HL2. Great recommendation for non-fps gameplayers nonetheless!

Actually <<spoiler>> it's within the HL2 universe as evident later in the game. So I had no reason to complain really. I thought it was a separate game like TF2. But if one is fed up with the endless mystifying things Valve keep throwing at you, Portal only adds to the confusion.

Slide Show show that the factory your in was a compeitior to Black Mesa that lost out on a military contract and had to close.

I think its a nice side story.

Portals was great fun, the lenght and puzzles were just perfect, but I am not looking forward to a "sequel" or "prequel" or whatever. Just let it be, the story is fine as is, no need to try to commercialize even further.
