why, because you say so?
What? You want my
actual reasons for disagreeing with you? Seriously? Because that would mean someone online who disagrees with someone else online is genuinely interested in the other person's opinion, has actually paused to wonder about the pros and cons of the situation. I'm told it happens. I've yet to see it, but surely, somewhere, at sometime, two pinnacles of peace and enlightenment bumped into each other on the internet and discussed a cheese sandwich or something.
Here. I'll tell you what. I'm going to provide my genuine opinions and thoughts on your other post. Your response in turn will be a lot like mine, just with shorter, cruder, far more direct insults. More importantly, your stand on the matter will remain unchanged, as will mine.
The fact that instead of the midless MSN type of spam you and other idiots like deadmeat were a part of, we are seeing new and actual threads.
Instead of being a negative whiny bitch, you should shut up or try to figure out something better. And deleting all the CRAPP is just one step out of many.
This forum? Basically dead. The posters in it? People who have clung on for years. That's not going to change by slashing wildly at the old and/or spam threads. Do you honestly believe people are coming to the forum, they're just reading those posts and going, "Man, I'm not posting there"? I tend to think that rarely does your average visitor to a forum join it. Since just plain barely anyone comes to the forum, what with it being attached to basically a dead site, that just may have something to do with why there's very little posting, not the mad spam theory.
You want to improve the quantity and "quality" of the threads? Make more yourself or improve the visiting rate to the main site somehow. Cutting back
more on what's left here isn't going to do either of those. Neither is running around and blasting at those few people who do still post. None of which even
begins to touch on the bizarre assumption you've made that getting rid of the other stuff is in any way attached to any change in the forum you perceive. I might as well say that I learned a co-worker is quitting today; clearly then, that event is why my manager accidentally locked her keys inside her car later on. After all, the former never happened until the latter did. It all fits!
Look, if you want to get rid of those threads, fine! Push for that. I honestly doubt anybody really reads them anyway. Just don't act like you're doing some sort of good deed, like you're asking for it because you're out to save the forum and think that it's a brilliant move that'll start a chain to one day open the flood gates of posters that have been held back by the horrific, horrific posts by other BHL posters.
And, you know, I know I should probably just skip this last part but I just can't help myself. I would never accuse someone of being a loud-winded bag of crap. It'd be ridiculous. Where do you get off accusing anyone of being whiny or a bitch or - and this is the part I love - negative? That's so far beyond the pot calling the kettle black that it needs an entirely new idiom to describe it.
Note: Man. I forgot how much I like coming up with stuff like that. I've never argued quite so heatedly or pointlessly over so very little as I do here. Your idea is still stupid though.
