URL parsing effing sucks

How come this URL hyperlinking is so retarded. If the URL has any funny characters or paranthesis it's terminated by the forum code. How bloody stupid is that.. Inserting the URL in between quotation marks doesn't help either.  :|

Characters that tickle I meant characters one doesn't use everyday.. I can try converting those to their HTML equivalent, but it's too bothersome.

I have no idea. I don't know why the hyperlinking is truncated if such alphanumeral characters are found in any given URL.. Why did the coders assume it's a delimiter? Stupid oversight if you ask me, college freshmen aren't expected to be this ignorant! Is this an opensource forum or actually paid for. I'd want my money back if it's the latter.

It pisses me that I can't link properly if characters like '(' or ')' are used, and instead have to look up their HTML equivalent
