Hey its me again :evilsmile i had this ages ago on the playstation maybe?  might of even been a demo i cant really remember then again it could of been a PC demo surely its got to be abandoned now? if not whats one of those wierd emule links :laugh |

I like the official Discworld Art... I have hard cover books of Discworld I got when I was in England but have never read them... but I really like the world from the Games and the Animated series... (yes I know you all hate it.. but I loved it.. all 14 episodes or whatever).. |

VelvetMinge - great choice in game - but pleas dont go asking for "if its not available then an emule link" because if its not available we cant give it. this is a 100% legal website only.

erm... how is this a 100% legal web site only?? Abandonware is not 100% legal... it is not even 1% legal! Discworld is abandonware, and as such he is allowed to request it... Yes, even on emule, as emule is actually NOT illegal at all... Sure, some of the things shared on there may not be legally shared, but the program itself is legal...

anom - we have a level of unbderstanding with the ESA, we dont touch their games, they dont touch us.
furthermore, as i said, in this case the game is alright to download in any manner - yes even emule, and i recommend it to all. but when he posed the question he asked that we help him if it wasnt available through regular means. it treads a thin line.
if someone on this board were to PM or other means to help Velvetminge with links to not esa protected games, thats their own thing. but please dont openly ask for it on these forums, the last thing we need is the ESA to come back here and decide that we havent held up our end, shut down the site, or stop ANY games from being downloadable... and you know they would at the first chance.
as i said i dont hold this instance as bad because discworld very thankfully is not protected.
EVERYBODY GO GET THIS GAME!!! NOW!!!

OK... so basically u werej ust ranting for no reason  ESA games are still abandonware in my eyes, but yeah it makes definate sense for you to work to keep the ESA on your side as much as possible... They are bastards.... Alot of the ESA protected games are actually abandoned by the producers of the games, alot of the companys probably wouldn't actually realise they had rights to the game, seeing asthey have just been passed along as they have bought out smaller companys... Man I hate legalitys against abandonware... If the people didn't want us to share it, they should SELL it... Idiots... |
