yeah the rest of the fellowship have those diaries too...
i just completely defeated gondor.... Helms Deep took approximately 4 minutes to fall.
The joy of this game is that any units reaching a slightly veteran status will come with you from the end of your last mission into the start of your next, and so Helm's Deep had approximate 500 command points of Uruk-Hai rush through the main gate while it was still just beginning to close.

Trouble, find a female. A low power blower, with optional heating, perfect for you I think.

That was absolutely hilarious.
On Battle For Middle-Earth: I thought it was a decent RTS, but not a lot of new stuff brought to the table.
In the beginning they promised massive armies and troops that minded their own business while you focused on more important stuff like Heroes and big units like Mumakil and Trolls.
None of that came true, your own melee units just stand around if some orc decides to fill him with arrows, and the few units take away from the epic feeling of the game.
Despite these flaws though, Helm's Deep and Minas Tirith were still highly entertaining levels, and I have to admit it was fun to destroy the free peoples of Middle Earth.

on a side note, on the helms deep level... if you want an easy win ... just rush in with everything you've got at the start... wait till the gates open to release some rohirrim, tell saruman to fireball them and then enter.
this lead me to a sub-4 minute victory

I preferred to wait and slaughter their reinforcements.
