when this says "Immunize" i assume its gonna acually immunize my computer.... but instead...


1)Remove adware 2)go on internet 3)check for problems 4)find same adware 5)remove adware.... Anyone see a pattern??!!!


Adn then theres that program that comes with spybot to stop adware from changing the registry.... Well.... It tells me that the adwarez trying to change it.... about 50 times.... everytime i say no, yet the adware still changes it....


jus 2 mins ago it wanted me to change shit to make some "search bulldog" my home page.... i said no... and now every 5 mins it wants to redirect me there!!!!


So after all this my comp freezes... I restart and nothin happens, background load and then it stops... i go into tas manager, apparently windows thinking it should be runnign processes that are vital to the system, then decideds not to... then decideds to.... well i got half my processes turning on and off at a rapid speed... so WTF!!!!


so i restart... luckly i happen to have my windows files saved onto computer so i can run setup, or normaly... so i repair the windows, all seems fine....


But now apparently im typing in Engrish, because i have no language support files.... everytime i go to search (to manualy remove this shit) it trys to install windows office 2000.... which is odd considering i have it....


well now i decide ima run spybot.... Spybot will save me!!! it always does!!!...... wrong again..... I run spybot.... it takes 1.5 hours when it woudl normally take less than 5 mins.... and it was only 3/4 of the way done cause my comp fucked up again!!!!!!!!! so now i restart and run it again... ( DIE MOTHER FUCKER DIE!!!! HOPE YOUR ASS FRY!!!!! (Blasting spyware processes with my task manager, that are trying to install shit on my comp) i got to sleep... apparently it took 25mins... yea... right....



I cure the spyware.... my comp is still fucked!!! After blasting some more spyware trying to delete shit thats install in my system32 folder of windows... it runs a bit better.... still about 10X slower than normal.....


I remeeber a time when i could look at porn in peace.... I could type one-handed without the fear of invaision by the evil mother fucking spyware..... all that has changed..... WHY!!!!? WHY CAN I NOT LOOK AT PORN IN PEACE!!!!!!!!??


But... the thing that pisses me off the most about spyware.... the fact thats theres some guy out theer who invented this shit.... and i could walk up to him and put 3 bullets in his back.... or perhaps ill go overboard and unload 16 45. bullets from 2 Colt 45. 's (incase ur wondering why im saying 16, is cause 1 in each chamber, +the 7 in each clip) but... the problem is hes out there, but i dont know where... If someone jus gave me proff it has him, told me where his was iD GO KILL THAT FUCKING MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ID KILL THAT FUCKER FASTER THAN 50 Cent WOULD KILL JA RULE!!!! Ive dled and run it..... my comps still slow, tho i havent restarted..... its a wierd problem... even small progrmas seem to take close to 90% of the processor to run when starting up....

Put windows on a hard drive partition thats only windows on it, and put a fire wall on that partition, and used ur brower? would that be pretty much inpenitrable?

No a firewall has nothing to do with websites, it only prevents others from hacking into your computers from the OUTSIDE. Surfing the web, your going to them... so you need a good Browser like Fire Fox.

Personally Norton has done me well... but the 2004 and 2005 have become quite chunky, the software was really good in 2001,2002 and 2003. I am in the market for a good Virus Scanner myself. So Norton will give you really good coverage as long as you update it reguarly but it is so BIG! So yes I am in the market for a good one as well.

Once I recommend staying away from are... Sophos, McCaffrey and (Sorry Marcus) AVG.

I think you have a miss conception of what a Fire Wall is. (Basically) We are connected to the Internet using a network technology called TCP/IP. This technology when making connections to other people require a port number and an IP address. Your Computer has between 65536 ports on it. And each one of those needs to an extent be protected.

If you want to access (connect to) something on the Internet you use a port. If someone wants to connect to you they need to use a port.

When your using a Web browser like IE or Firefox it uses Port 80. If your using FTP you use port 21.

A firewalls job is to hide and block all the ports you dont regularly use for anything. And protect the ports that you leave open, this is the hard bit and doesnt always work.

So a Firewall monitors all traffic coming too and from your computer, it has no relevance to particians or anything like that. Firewalls can be Software which you run, like Zone Alarm.

Other Firewalls are hardware deivices that sit between you and the Internet and protect your computer from outside attacks on your ports. Most ADSL MODEM's have built in Firewalls.

If you close Every port on your computer you are inpentrable. But then you couldnt access anything. The more ports you open the more vulrable you are. A Firewalls allows you to close ports your not using.

A firewall protects your internet connection, that is all it does. You dont specify which hard drive it runs you. If you have multiple Internet connections you can specify it to protect one or the other.

You shouldnt need a firewall however, and isnt really recommended unless you know what your doing.

If you have your OS is fully updated, and you use a fully updated virus scanner and Use Firefox and a little common sense then your system will be fine.
