Hey Atebash, Is it true that your character starts to look older as the years pass? Cause he's 24 now, and I just can't help but think that he's looking more mature now. It's very subtle, but I really think he looks older.

That, or I'm just seeing things.

And it's deffo addictive.

PS. The daughter of St Kitts governor is HOT Cheesy

I prefer the one in Guadalupe (French in 1660) since she's dark haired and has that collar around her neck! :love

I haven't noticed the aging YET, but my character is still only 26 Wink Maybe he looks older, I didn't notice

Well, there's only one thing missing from these games... You can't hit on the girls in the taverns. Sad :laugh

PS. The girl from St. Kitts loves me Cheesy

Pfft, she wasn't even born in the 1700, or else she would have been the oldest woman in the world! I was talking seriously. :.I.

I've found one very disappointing difference, that being the fact that you cannot storm a coastal city by sea. On the old Pirates, I would occassionally launch risky attacks on cities with a loaded pinnacle, dodge cannonfire from the fort, and hope for a good swordfight...However, on the new game the only way I could attack a coastal city was by landing troops and making them march there =\ ...Then again, maybe I'm wrong (I don't own it; just played it in a net cafe once)...

Yep, the old Pirates had that, while this one doesn't. Why? Don't know...

Hey guys I've tried this game for todays now. Wink
It is fun. The graphics is good. The controls is OK.

But I found some drawbacks that I think should be improved. The simple example is the voice.
"bralgaldjl, lkhisdlkjg kosdf ya?..."
Huh?Huh? Can u understand what I wrote above??? No right. Same with me. I think the captioning should be just an option like in HL2. The person should say something in true words not just gibberish. Also I think the merchandise in the market during those history time, should not be just spices, luxuries, sugar and goods. I think Sid Meir can put more extra items with more details in it.  And I think it is very wierd, canon in the market Huh?? Canon supposely in the shipwright mate.

Aside from those drawbacks that I found, all things that actualy in the old version has been transfer successfully. The action swashbuckling sword fighting is in. The funny action part is the dancing with the governor daugther...Cheesy it is like playing those timezone dancing machine, only with fingers.... Tongue
