I don't mean offense to Witchcraft, but why post gaming news from non-gaming sources? You'd think the first place to look would be Gamespot, Gamespy, IGN, etc... What you end up getting is a lot of mass-media, right-wing bias. I quite often get the impression that the people writing those articles don't play games themselves, and when that's the case, well... They're not exactly reputable sources on gaming culture.

You see my point?

Well I look at gamespot etc... But those sites deal mainly with brand new games. I try NOT to put article after article about how Game X has come out for machine Y or Devlopper Z is making software for company Q. I prefer to look to various other sites, such as reuters, bbc, cnn etc for news about what is happpening in the physical world.

Witch: you are doing a wonderful job, keep it up.
Kyle: if you think you can do better, please submit articles for witchcraft to post, if you think they are worth it.

All I'm saying is that when I think of where best to look for gaming news, regardless of the type, CNN is the last place I'd think to look. And for good reason - for the most part they're either redundant or uninformed. Harping on about the effects of video game violence every two months is not only bland, but unnecessary. Every so often they try to ban the sales of games to minors because some kid flipped out, and every time it's smacked back down.

The media has always scape-goated something, whether it be television, movies, rock & roll, gangster rap, or videogames. Currently, they've chosen videogames.

I'm not suggesting anyone change anything. To be honest, it doesn't concern me at all. I'd bet my bottom dollar that nobody comes to BHL solely for the news posts. They're not expecting to get all their information here, on an abandonware site.

Just critiquing.

Ok, out of the last 50 or so posts I have done there are 2 that deal with violence. One has to do with a legitimate article about the increasing amount of violence, the other put forth arguments for and against the theory of video game violence being bad. The rest is not violence related at all. :hrmph

Psy - I'll think about it. Maybye I'll pull out some of the really great classics and when that day comes round I'll post them.

I just wish people would POST COMMENTS on the main page sometimes. There are rarely ANY at all and it's Anom who comments. And about 6000-10000 people visit BHL every day!
