1  BH Legend / General Discussion / Re: Do you still play video games? on: May 30, 2012, 01:12:54 PM
I don't play video games anymore. I mostly chase 20 yr old girls, hate my profession as System administrator, behave myself improperly for my age and try to catch up what I missed 15 yrs earlier - because of the same stupid video games. Smiley

[EDIT]
I also realize this is my first post on this place in several years.

I don't think he's joking, he's just a looney

But note how many anti-muslim comments there are under that clip, even though this guy doesn't differ way much from a typical Yankee gun-loon.

Apparently he got arrested too. The idiot did put his name / address in the video.
However, it doesn't stop striking me how Bosnian police arrests muslim population for illegal guns while they totally ignore Serb-fascist activities that can be seen in the country on all levels. I guess we are looking forward to another slaughter in few years.

Embarrassing

How revolting. What's that supposed to be - french toast with bacon  Lips Sealed and cheeze? I think I even see a hamburger...
6  Games, Help... / Technical Help / Re: Reinstalling OS after CPU-upgrade? on: July 30, 2010, 05:57:23 PM
I used to dual boot, but to be honest on my machine Windows XP flies like shit off a stick and is pretty easy to use.
So does even most of the recent Linux-distributions! They are far less hardware demandning than Win 7 / Vista. They are yet up to date, while WinXP is 10 years old - no wonder it's so fast on new computers Smiley

And yeah, I do know what you mean... But it does always seem in the Linux community that it is up to the user to make the app work rather than the publisher/developer.
Well, that's the beauty of the Open Source. Everybody is welcome to develop - your knowledge is your only limitation. Also, as a typical Win-user, you are probably not even aware that you are using a bunch of Open Source on Windows too. The only thing that bothers me (once again, it's not Linux fault) is that there are so many great freeware apps on Windows that their original developers refuse to distribute under GNU Licence. That would mean that they have to share their code. If they did - all of these applications would show up on Linux in no time. Don't think for a second that Linux is some garage-project by few geeks. These geeks number in thousands. And they are good!

It is typical me though, I really should get using Linux and learning the ins and outs of it but as usual I am not doing what I should... I need a spanking mhead Tongue
My hand hurts. I've been spanking you for nearly 3 years but you never listen. So I gave up on you Smiley

I spoke to the former colleague of mine, a Windows Server system administrator, who confirmed I should be fine.

@Anom, nothing prevents you from dual booting. That's basically what I do, and the only reason I have this piece of shit system (Windows) on my computer is because of gaming and only very very few crucial applications that I need. Other than that, I'm basically in Linux 24/7, and I've managed to find substitutes for most of the ordinary apps, while some of them actually work quite okay under Wine.

Also, you use wrong terminology there. There is no such thing as "apps supported by Linux" but rather "apps that support Linux", if you know what I mean Smiley

I guess I can. I guess, if I see in the device manager that my processor is being identified properly, that would reasonably mean "I'm good". It's just the thing that Windows scares the shit out of me. I fucking hate it, ever since I started working with Linux. It's the thing that there are so many things going on "behind the curtain" in Windows that an average user simply don't know about, especially when I've barely touched the damn thing for the past 3 years :=)

What do you guys think? If I'm off to swap my currrent E8400 Core Duo for a Quad Core, on the same old m/b, should I be fine (Windows 7 64bit) or should I reinstall the OS completely? Theoretically I should be fine without reinstall, but you never know.

PS.
But I still think you are just uninformed / uninterested. England is not exactly the worst example (like USA) where people are not informed about the things in the world, Europe in particular.
11  BH Legend / General Discussion / Re: Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2010 on: July 19, 2010, 11:25:51 AM
I'm not sure about the Dutch, but I know I am totally ignorant to these massacres to the extent I actually have no idea.

Scary shit, especially due the fact that you are a new generation from one of the most influential nations in the world.
12  BH Legend / General Discussion / Re: Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2010 on: July 15, 2010, 05:29:14 PM
You know, it isn't the actual football team who commands their army, right?

Correct, but the actual football team is the extension of the Dutch nation, and I hate Dutch nation. Comprende?
It would be devastating for every normal human being who lost somebody in the massacre, that very same date, to see that the nation whose army is responsible for it - is celebrating. That's why I was happy (and it was quite ironic too) when they lost - Amsterdam was quiet, some people cried. It was like they were actually grieving, on the same day Srebrenica massacre happened.

13  BH Legend / General Discussion / Re: Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2010 on: July 14, 2010, 03:02:23 PM
I wonder if the moment of silence idea will go through at the final match. It will be really fun to see if FIFA approves it!

It didn't go through since some asshole in FIFA stated it would be "impropriate" due the fact that Nelson Mandela got his 40-something years prison sentance on the same date (11/7). That's one of the stupidest arguments I've read in my life, and not only it was stupid - it was even a plain lie since apparently Mandela was sentenced on an entirely different date, 16/6, if I'm not mistaken.

Oh well, just like UN ignored the massacres in the 90s, I guess nothing changed in present day to at least honor the victims.

The biggest irony was that Holland, whose soldiers are responsible for not preventing Srebrenica-massacre - played the finals. I'm so happy that the pot-smoking fags didn't win.

Football, sports in general...is there a more boring thing?
15  BH Legend / General Discussion / Re: (Situation) Comedy recommendations on: June 06, 2010, 10:31:05 AM
something is definitely wrong with this particular spacetime continuum.

You are just pissed that I got to penetrate him first!
