Headaches
because you can't download that one game you want to play so bad? Before
you do anything drastic, please take the time and read through our download
instructions.
Question: How do I download a game?
Answer: Fear not for you are just one click away from playing your
favorite game (not counting the countless clicks required to set up the
sound). Below each game you will find a box. One of the fields inside that
box reads "Downloads" and next to it should be a download link.
If there is indeed a download link, don't hesitate to click it and the download
should start automatically in no time.
If the download does not start and there are mirror locations, click one
mirror link after the other and see if any of them works.
If there is no download link, the game has been removed either because IDSA
made us do it or because of lack of webspace.
If instead of a download link you find the message "Download not available.
Game is Copyright protected by the IDSA!", the game had to be removed
for reasons beyond our control. Don't be sad and download something else.
If the download link is not available but there is no sign of "IDSA
interference" whatsoever, you might be able to obtain a copy of the
game through the 'Requests' section of our Forum.
Question: I can't download using my download manager. What's wrong
with that?
Answer: There is nothing wrong with that. First of all, our ISP
does not allow several connections to the same file anyway, so using download
managers doesn't make much sense. But apart from that, we use an anti-leech
system that may confuse download managers and that makes them not work.
If you are having problems downloading from bhlegend, turn off all download
managers and use the old fashioned left-click-maneuver. You'll see - it
works.
Question: I tried to right-click on a link and select "save
as", but the file my browser downloads is not the game. What's happening
here?
Answer: It's out anti-leech system (again). Most browsers will
attempt to download anything a link points to when the user selects "save
as". However, our download links do not point to the actual file but
to a PHP script which then forwards the browser to whichever game the user
tries to download. Ergo, your browser tries to download the PHP script and
that simply doesn't work. Use a left-click instead and the problem should
no longer occur.
Question: Whenever I try to download a game, I get the error message
"Sorry, your referrer is incorrect". Am I doing something wrong?
Answer: Probably not. When you click a download link, a PHP script
verifies that you are actually coming from bhlegend and not some other website
that is using our download links without permission.
You will see the "Sorry, your referrer is incorrect" message when
you try to download a game from outside the bhlegend website. When that
happens, go back to the bhlegend homepage, type in the name of the game
you'd like to download into the "search" box, select the game
from the list of search results and left-click the "Download Now"
link at the bottom of the page. The download should start.
If you have come across a website that directly links to bhlegend games,
please inform us about it. Thank you.
